May I ask a dumb question? I'm not really familiar with the Stationary
engines so, What is a Gib Key? Is it the same as a piece of square
stock or a "half moon" in a key way or groove in the shaft?

Once this area was clean as well as the gib key slot I sprayed it all down with carburetor cleaner to get all remains of oil and grease off. I then used a Heat Gun (not a torch) to gently heat the area just until all of the metal was warm. Then I took a hot glue gun and build a dam around the Gib Key and filled this dam with Kroil Oil. I filled the dam last night with Kroil Oil before I left the shop. This afternoon when I went back out in the shop I noticed that the dam was dry so I added so more Kroil Oil and saw that it was dripping out the backside of the flywheel so I knew then that I had penetration of oil all the way through the flywheel and around the gib key. I removed the glue dam and took a #2 drift pin and placed it between the flywheel and the tang on the Gib Key and gave it a few whacks and it just started sliding out. Added a few pieces on flat iron to take up the space and repeated the procedure with the Drift Pin and she came all the way out.
