[SEL] OT? Lathe HP question

Hello Curt,
	For what it's worth, I have a 12 x 36 Chinese lathe with a 2 Chinese HP 
motor. I take heavy cuts using carbide tooling. So far, I haven't been 
able make the motor sound like it's working.
