[SEL] Belt power question

Take a minute and think about some the application belts are used for, I
use 2 B belts to drive my 7.2KW generator off a fairbanks 118, I've run it
with just one and it was fine. Another is mower decks, those belts seem to
take a beating. BTW I built a charger with an 85 amp alternator and a 5HP
briggs directly couple to the alternator and when you really load it up it
pulls pretty hard on a 5HP briggs at 3600 RPM, actually you can get to the
point where it stalls the engine.
