[SEL] Clutch pulley on ebay

Hi Folks,

I'm afraid I'm with Alan on these clutch pulleys. A couple of summers ago
I finally found a 20" clutch pulley with a 2" bore in good working
condition with no CBW. Sadly the seller, Kenny Meeks, also knew what
they were worth. He did cut me some slack and sold it to me for $600 down
from $625. At that point I had been hunting for ~4 years so I did know
that they weren't easy to find and weren't cheap if they were in good
condition.

The thing that bothers me about the one on eBay that started this thread
is the "Private Bidders" stuff. It sure would be tempting for someone to
do employ a little "shill bidding" if they thought they could get away
with it. And how would the buyer ever know? No matter what the seller
sez, if he is running "Private Bidders" my first question is what does he
have to hide?

See ya, Arnie
