It sounds to me like you have an excellent start on your fireproofing.
I live in the city,fires around here are sometimes welcomed!(Dope
dealers,transients,undesirables).
I read quite a bit,though;and have family all over the "Left Coast"
(California,Washington State,Oregon).
What's recommended there is removal of lawn within 50' of house,gravel
in it's place (not joking).Stone or Concrete walls spaced away from house.
An emergency storage of water,like you have!
Neighbors in the area having a battery backed-up source of
communication,such as low-cost CB radios.A regular channel for
information,and an emergency channel.These channels would be decided on
in advance,and taped to the radio's.A 'base station'antenna would
help.if possible.You could consider CB radios for the car(s),also...do
you folks use FM for CB radio? I'm pretty sure they do in England.
Flashlights,and "gas mask" type particulate removal filters (carbon
type),with extra filter cartridges (Not the Michael Jackson type!).
