Gene,
That is one of my reasons to consider a cold cut chop saw.  I  want to get 
away from sparks.  DeWalt and Milwaukee both have the models  that I thinking of 
acquiring.  I may wait for the Farm Expo at Tulare this  coming February.  
The dealers usually have good prices on these types of  saws during the show.
