Two simple items usually around the shop can be used and last a long time for 
us occasional runners.  Mild steel rivets like those used on hay mower 
sections, and finish nails have great heads on them too.  Come in all different 
sizes and usually will fit what you are fixing.  The mild steel makes for easy 
peening to the arms.  Drill the old ones out and install the new ones in a few 
minutes.  Works for me!
