I read of John's passing with great sadness. I had the pleasure of meeting
John and Ria at the Root & VanDervoort reunion in 2003. Intelligent,
knowledgeable and soft-spoken, John was a true engine man and a fine human
being. What a loss for Ria and family, let alone the engine community.
