Hi Peter,

Here in The Netherlands it's very simple.
The club or organizers of a show are insured for the grounds,
like buildings, decorating stuff, flag poles etc etc.
The members are insured for there stuff, exploding engines,
flying flywheels etc etc. cost me $35 for the year and it doesn't
matter how many engines or tractors I have or bring to the show.
Spectators that stick there hand in a spinning flywheel is a pitty,
but it's their own fault.
Of course we as members watching the people what they are
doing especial the kids.
We have only a rope along the lanes and the experience is that
spectators stay at their side and only a few real interested people
come over the rope and mostly with permission of a member.
Some members bring dogs, but they are all trained, no sniffing
on gas cans, hot mufflers or spinning flywheels :o)) and you don't
find droppings, there is a special piece of grass at the outside of
the grounds.

Regards,
