Many of the list members in the Midwest have brought engines and other
displays to our show in the past years. It is for that reason I am sending
this to the list. If you have no interest in our show, then please ignore
this message.

Last year we moved the show from Burn's Woods, near Deselm, Illinois to the
Dollinger Farm south of Minooka, Illinois. At that time we were required by
the land owner to guarantee that all persons exhibiting equipment at the
show (tractor, engine, car, or implement) prove that they were insured for
liability, or be a member of our Association, where they would be covered by
our policy. To accomplish that, we had three ways an exhibitor could
satisfy the land owner's demand.

Anyone can bring and exhibit any equipment for display at no cost, as long
as they do one of the following:

1) Join our Association at a cost of $10 per year, including a monthly
newsletter and all other Association events and benefits.

or

2) Join our Association for the duration of the show for $5, with no
newsletter or other Association events or benefits.

or

3) Sign a waiver releasing the Association and the land owner from any and
all liability.

Many exhibitors from previous years took this to mean that they had to pay
to exhibit at our show, and started rumors to that effect at every show they
where they exhibited. This rumor was spreading this year in Florida at the
Flywheeler's show, and several of our members who were there made comments
about this at our March meeting.

This has caused a lot of discussion in our Association, and that has
resulted in a revision to our exhibitor policy, and a request for all
concerned to spread the word about our exhibitor policy as widely as we can.
Here is our current exhibitor policy:

Anyone can bring and exhibit any equipment for display at no cost, as long
as they do one of the following:

1) Join our Association at a cost of $10 per year, including a monthly
newsletter and all other Association events and benefits

or

2) Sign a waiver releasing the Association and the land owner from any and
all liability.

As you can see, we do not charge admission to exhibitors nor require them to
join. In fact, we did not require an exhibitor to join last year, but some
folks took our policy to mean that. We want to make it clear that the rumor
about our Association charging exhibitors was totally false then, as it is
now.

Please consider this in July when we put on our 43rd Threshing Reunion and
Antique Tractor show. The dates are July 21st through 24th. For more
information about our show including maps and driving directions pleas take
a look at our web site:

If anyone wants to ask a question or make a comment, I am all ears, as we
are trying to make our show larger and better, so suggestions are always
welcome.
