Arnie,

My interest in Old Iron was instilled in me by Dad. As a kid he took me to Thressing Bees,
and we would look at each engine and tractor. Together we recently purchased a FM ZC118,
the price was right (cheap). It has little compression and I haven't started to tear into yet but,
we hope to get to it this spring. I found this message board and thought it might be a good source
of information. There is an auction next weekend in Butler, MO and we hope to pick up another
project there.

Jim

Jim,

That would be "American Gasoline Engines Since 1872," by C.H.Wendel.
Often referred to as The Bible.

It is generally available in four flavors.
BYB - Big Yellow Book (the first printing)
BRB - Big Red Book (the second printing, some say of lower quality)
BPBB - Big Paper Back Book (the third printing)
BLBB - Big Leather Bound Book (BYB, numbered & signed copies)

Here's a BYB on eBay...

Hope that helps.

Now, why not tell us a bit about yourself and your interests in the Olde
Iron?

See ya, Arnie
