[SEL] Old Engine Scam on Ebay

Just to tip to anyone bidding on iron on ebay.  I bid on an engine about 
a month ago and ended up as the third bidder on it although it didn't 
reach the reserve.  I got an email today that was a "Second Chance 
Offer" where the seller said they would let me have the item for my bid. 
  I thought it was strange as there was a bid ahead of me after the high 
bid.  I contacted the seller, not through the method provided in the 
"ebay email" but through another method as I know him.  He said he had 
never done a second chance offer on the engine.  The email looked 
authentic (as all the scam emails are beginning to look).  I assume they 
were trying to get me to pay for it with Paypal and clean out my account.
