Hi Rich,

I think you have the same problem I had.

Do you have an enclosed crank ?

Mine seems to have an oil starvation problem just inside the cover at the
trip rod.
It gets dry and sticks - although there's oil everywhere.
I guess it just gets dirty and gums up.

Once I take the crank cover off and free it - it seems to be okay.
Not sure why it sticks.
It has only happened to me once.
