Harry, I have measured all four and they all measure just a hair under 1
1/2". Hope this helps!

The intake valve is seating well!
When i turn over the engine by hand (against compression) I don't hear any
"hissing" in the carburator.

Yes we have a few other engines on propane too, like our 4 HP ball hopper
Monitor, and we have great luck with it as well.

Wayne can you do me a favor? Can you meassure the distance between the top
of the mixer to the top of the overflow pipe?
On our engine it's 40 mm  (1  9/16")  maybe it's to high?
