[SEL] Richard Bamford

I am passing on the message below from the English engine list.
I also knew Richard over many years & fully agree with everything 
Phillip says below.

I've just heard the sad news from Eric Brain that Richard Bamford passed
away on October 14th.
I had the pleasure of meeting him several times, and always found him to
be a real gentleman.
A sad loss to the preservation world, after all he actually made some of
the engines we now see on the rallyfield.
Eric was going to post this message but I'm doing it on his behalf due
to browser problems in Bath :-(
