Congratulations Ed! Your engine was built in 1936 according to Wendel's Notebook. The mag is a WICO Model EK. Be gentle in trying to remove the valves and the piston ring. For me, I like to gently tap the ring into the groove, going around and around until it moves freely. No matter how you approach it, take your time. Rob
