[SEL] Briggs Question

Hi Joe,
If memory serves, you set up your bench grinder convenient to your Briggs 
engine, and as you clean up the seats and valve faces, and then lap the valves, 
you keep your feel gauge handy and, from time to time, grind a little off the 
end of the valve stem.  That is your adjustment.   Sound crude?  Well, I think 
the flathead Ford V8's had the same technology.
