Hi Reg,
That's to grazy for words, $471 for an engine show attended
by four people. This weekend we have our Nat.show at Panningen,
the showbook counts 1155 members that will be on display.
For 3 nights camping (with full hook up, power-bathrooms-showers)
we pay $40 for max 4 people.
We always stay together with friends and you get 6x8 metres per
unit ground space. The first night you take care for your own food,
the second we do BBQ and cost you about $7.50 PP. The third
night we always eat Chinees (lots of food) and cost around $8.00 PP.
Admissions are free for exhibitor, wife and two kids. Spectators have
to pay $7.50 per day. Rally badge ( heavy brass plaque) is free, one
for every exhibitor. Total cost $70 + $45 fuel + $15 beer/softdrinks
is around $130 US.
Funny thing is after two months you get a check for $75 in the post,
because your display was great and you brought the engines that
were mention in the showbook. Ultimately it cost me $55 for four
days engine fun and seeing all my friends again from the North to
the South. You see the Rallies are much better overhere. A few weeks
ago we had a good show in the South and they used to use a special
formula for exhibitors (distance X weight X amount of engines X showdays)
and they paid me $130 + two T-shirts, just for coming. Staying at night
was free and 10 free drinks PP, food was for your own.
Send the Directors to this side of the pond, there is much to learn for them.

Take care,
John Hammink
