[SEL] RE: Fuel Savers

There seems to have been more US manufacturers who used fuel savers than
didn't so they must have been on to something (or all had just picked up on
the same advertising gimmick).
Stover, IHC, F-M, & F&J did not provide fuel savers on their smallest
engines and R&V, Challenge and Galloway did not seem to use them at all.
My 12hp R&V does not have a fuel saver and there is no flutter at all from
the intake valve while the engine is missing and it is an engine that is not
short of suction.
I am not convinced 100% as to if fuel savers are worthwhile or if they were
a marketing gimmick but it has made a nice on topic thread ;)
