[SEL] Maytag flywheel help needed.

Ye Maytag experts....

I need some advice on removing the flywheel on a Maytag twin. Wife 
friend volunteered me for painting a twin for the Charity Auction this 
year and I am taking apart my first (and hopefully last) Maytag.

I made the assumption that the flywheel is a tapered fit like a Briggs, 
and with the nut loose have tapped it with a brass hammer while gently 
pressing behind the flywheel. But I don't want to break anything.....

Am I going about this the correct way?
