Yes, you do have a vaild pump jack there.  I think that it was made in
Ohio by Haller.  I had a pump jack just like it, but gave it to a friend
(who stores many of my engines on his farm).  He is working it into
another display. His old display which he sold last year is pictured here:

The key is to get the leather cup to start swelling a day before the
show...We did this on that black pump (mounted on yellow milk can at SIAM)
and it worked great...otherwise, it takes a few primes if it hasn't been
used for several weeks.

Thanks, Curt. Curt. Ken and Tom. For the information. Ken I just added
three more pictures on my Webshots page of a pitcher pump display I saw at
the SIAM show and what I am calling a pump jack is probably something
else, look at the pictures and tell me what that is that is driven by the
motor and moves the arm up and down to operate the pump? Curt Andree I
will get back to you on the pump leathers as soon as I dismantle the pump.
