Ted i am sure that in your area some where there is a hospital that has a 
oxygen hippervaric  unit[spelling most likely wrong].Some thing like divers 
are put in to decompress i have seen people with sores like you have said 
that they heal. The foot or leg is put in and sealed then almost pure 
oxygen is pumped in under pressure. It causes the area to absorb more 
oxygen to the affected area and promotes healing very fast days instead of 
weeks. i have done a little reading on the maggot treatment  also and it is 
a big help. get well soon
