Hi all.
I broke the axle on my Hyster RT 150 fork lift. To keep this on topic, I
use it when working on my old engines and tractors. This was made in the
50's and is powered by an IH Greendiamond 233 engine. I was trying to
push the forks under a three cylinder Hicks marine engine setting on
dirt. Dumped the clutch and bang, the drive shaft turned but I didn't
move. The axle has: 9459 A34 58662 H and a circle with IH stamped also.
It is 37" long, with 16 splines that are 2.580" long and 1.815" in
diameter. The rest of the axle is 1.590" in diameter. The flange is
6.250" in diameter and .3875 thick, with 6 holes for the securing studs
to go through. The holes are .500" and it has two 1/2 x13 threaded holes
for jack bolts and weighs 22.5 lbs.
I have found one for $375 plus about 10% tax, I thought this was a little
much as I am cheap. Does anyone on the list have one in their bone pile
or know where I could find one at a better price. I was told shipping on
something like this should be $35 to $40.
Thanks.
