Hi, Ron-
I've got some auction results saved up (5000+ engines), and out of those, 
there were 5 Monacrh 1 3/4 (or thereabouts) engines sold:
$ 560 1 3/4
$ 550 1 3/4
$ 425 1 3/4
$ 800 (this was a Monarch Model N)
$ 250 (this was a 2 HP)

I see they also were available in 3 or 5 HP.
