It's not his, but a friend of a friend kind of deal: http://s1027.photobucket.com/user/syost/library/ Here is the text as it was given to me: Antique horse drawn pecan orchard spray wagon from Pensacola Florida was stored in a barn which helped protect it from the elements and vandals. Back in the day most of these sprayers were stored outside and have rusted & rotted away. This might possibly be a Bean spray wagon as they partnered with Novo around this time period. The engine is a 1929 Novo Rollr TU with the original manufacturer ID tag and serial numbers intact. It is a throttle governed engine with a water hopper on top to cool the engine. It is not a hit and miss engine. It has a hand crank at the center of the fly wheel . Engine turns over with good compression but no fire to the spark plug. Possibly mag (included) needs to be rebuilt. Good solid gas tank. The pump is a Myers with a pressure gauge. These orchard sprayers are rare and is a great conversation piece at the tractor & engine shows. The spray tank is made of cypress and has internal fins to keep the chemicals mixed. There is also a screen where you fill the chemicals to keep any large debris out of the tank. I would love this piece go to a collector or a museum. Please feel free to ask questions or schedule a time to come see it. Located in Cumming, GA one hour North of Atlanta Georgia. This sprayer has been in our family over 29 years stored out of the elements. Before that it was stored in a barn protected from rain. Please e-mail questions, call or text 1-770-318-9449. If no answer please leave contact information. Thanks for looking!FOR SALE $1900 Hope someone here gets this very nice piece, Spencer Sent from my iPhone From fero_ah at city-net.com Mon Oct 6 13:41:30 2014 From: fero_ah at city-net.com (Arnie Fero) Date: Mon, 6 Oct 2014 16:41:30 -0400 (EDT) Subject: [SEL] Internal Fire - Most Popular Museum in Wales Message-ID: WELL DONE to Paul & Hazel at Internal Fire!! http://www.walesonline.co.uk/whats-on/arts-culture-news/internal-fire-museum-power-tops-7890858 From rotigel at me.com Mon Oct 6 15:25:44 2014 From: rotigel at me.com (David Rotigel) Date: Mon, 06 Oct 2014 18:25:44 -0400 Subject: [SEL] Internal Fire - Most Popular Museum in Wales In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <128E8CC2-08E6-40C0-8A4C-F0986E87C762@me.com> I'll SECOND that! The owner recently passed away and left the land to his son and daughter. These heirs approached the club at the end of August and offered the property to the club. There was, of course, opposition to the purchase and a special meeting was held yesterday to address the matter. After some lively (by lively I mean 'FUN") debate, the question was called and the vote was taken. The results were 3:1 in favor. When we take possession of this new property, we will have 264.25 acres. The wheels turn slow but in time we will extend the flea market and swap meet to the north, widening the rows for easier access. We also will be expanding the gas engine area to the north. Much of the pine plantation on this new parcel will be clear cut and the stumps grubbed out, making room for a new parking lot for the engine guys, relieving the congestion in the engine area but allowing you to have your vehicle reasonably close. There are also plans to expand the engine area westward as well, displacing some camping into the new land to accommodate this expansion. Eventually I hope to push for the construction of a new, modern restroom facility up there somewhere but that is a ways off in the future because our discretionary spending will be consumed by the real estate purchase. Now, I ask you folks for some help. Most of us at Baraboo don't go to many shows. Between work, life and our own show, we are either too busy or too burned out. The result is that we are often blind to things that may be obvious to others. With this new property comes the opportunity to make big changes. I agree 100% with Arnie. Do some strategic planning and preserve as many trees as practicable. Work around them. You have lots of area now so if an area is set up to be vending spaces, allow spaces with a tree in it a little extra to compensate. No need to be stingy on the space sizes. So make sure any space has at least a 20'X15' clear area for a canopy. Do not make the same mistake that Portland Show did with 18' wide spaces Make em 20-25' wide and plenty deep. You will make your vending spaces some of the most popular areas there are. If I had the space you now have and I was planning I would strive to make a space 25-28' wide and 22' deep. Be generous and ignore what is the customary price per square foot, set a new standard. The old standard of 20X12 or 15 Is from the usual flea market shows not an engine show and does not consider motor homes and goose neck trailers. Do not be afraid to trim limbs up to about 12'-14' clearance. Let the trees be a canopy. If you have ever been in a pine forest that has all the lower branches removed it makes it really open yet you still have canopy. Mark S. Mark S.
