Anheuser-Busch sells universal shim material in 0.0047” thickness. The 
material comes in cylindrical shapes, so you’ll need tin snips to cut it 
into the shape of the main caps.  You’ll probably want to buy a pack of six 
or twenty-four, so you’ll have enough. If you’re doing the work outside on a 
hot day, this is definitely the material you’ll want to use.

If you want brass material in different thicknesses, you can call 
McMaster-Carr, but the AB material works perfectly fine.
