[SEL] Charlie Bryant's story

It was about the time when Charlie sent this to the SEL that I bought, and restored, my 16 HP Galloway. Charlie had previously sent the story to me and had suggested that I do the same thing prior to showing the engine for the first time. I was rushed and had only two weeks before the Galloway's first show and could not find a goat in time. That was 14 years ago now and I'm happy to report that in a pinch cats work just as well as goats!

He told the story of the goat sacrifice / bloody hand prints that the new owners put on a new aircraft he took to Iran in the 1950's that was for "good luck". Looks like they still believe in that in that part of the world.
