My main problem is with the Valves, Exh was rusted out, but I can replace them no problems. It's the length of the stem which has me puzzled? The original valves that are in this engine, the rocker adj are just screwed Into the rocker. The lock nut is under the rocker with only a couple of threads hanging on. Which to me looks like the valves are too short, do I put the rocker gear back onto the head and with the rocker arm horizontal, Would that be the correct height???? And its not favored of strangers just walking around for Insurance and other reasons. You might try calling ahead a few days before to see if anyone might be there doing something. I can not speak for who might actually be there that day but anyone there during off hours is usually trying to get something accomplished and to walk someone through would take some time and may mess up their plans. But it would not hurt to ask. The third weekend of the month May-October is work or event weekends so those really are your best chances of seeing something. I can not speak for who might actually be there that day but anyone there during off hours is usually trying to get something accomplished and to walk someone through would take some time and may mess up their plans.
