I found this interesting little snippet on Trove. Good to see R-T helping
with the war effort nearly 100 years ago.

 RAFFLE OF OIL ENGINE FOR
 PATRIOTIC FUNDS.

 Messrs. Ronaldson Bros. and Tippett, of the Austral Engineering Works,
Ballarat, have given a 10 B.H.P, Austral portable oil engine,
 value £205, to be raffled in aid of the Red Cross and Wounded Australians
Fund. 'The special aim into secure   £1000 by the sale of 20,000 tickets at
1/ each. The firm undertake to start and guarantee the engine for three
years as usual, and supply all necessary tools and extras, and in
 the event of the winner not requiring the engine, they will undertake to
sell it for him. Tickets can now be obtained at the office of the district
ag ents Messrs. Young Bros., Hamilton and branches.
