Subject: [SEL] Studebaker Commander 1952 6-Cyl L-Head Vacuum Adv/Ret Unit

Our good friend in Cupertino CA is having problems with one of his old bits
of machinery, the Studebaker advance/retard unit has died, probably a
punctured diaphragm, and he is trying to find another working unit or
something that could perhaps be modified to do the job.

I'm thinking that maybe anything NOS is going to be possibly not fit for use
after all these years, but at least another one would help us make up
something while he is using the car.

I'll hopefully have some info from the distributor body later, but I'd guess
it is Delco-Remy or Autolite.

Any help/leads would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Peter
