Coolspring set-up will begin at 12:00 noon in June 11th. (If I were you I wouldn't try to get in before 3:00 unless you enjoy being in a long line!) I'll set up/rope off the SEL area at about 3:00 on the 11th. We will be in the usual area--2nd row down at the end near the trees. Please fill in from the trees back toward the entrance so that if we have extra room on Friday we can "give it back" to Jake for others to enjoy. See you at Coolspring! Well, today the woman who we caught on video got a plea deal. She plead no contest, was found guilty and placed on a years probation. She was ordered to pay $1000 restitution, which is less than we believed she took. It is hard to prove the amount she took since it was all cash and there was a problem with one of the ticket machines. I gave the DA a hard time about it, asking him how he could not put her in jail for a little while when we gave them video of her doing it. He didn't have much of an answer. Regardless, it is over and time to move on. As I promised, I have uploaded a video to youtube showing her slipping a wad of cash up her sleeve. It can be found at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Wair_k35jY The cameras are a cheapo set of 8 with a DVR from closeoutcctv.com . I am pretty happy with them, the set was around $1000.00 and they worked plenty good for what we needed. ? This if from the time she used to do a GEM article on the SEL postings. "I haven't had my vertical Stover out of the shed for 15 years, and since it has the hot tube, I never ran it on the ignitor, anyway. If I recall, there were no marks on the cam gear and I just set it by trial and error." It's a long shot, but wondering if the person with the Stover hot tube is still on SEL or not. I am trying to find information on the Stover hot tubes with the idea of putting one on my 1903 4hp tank cooled Stover. It has the hot tube base, but missing the chimney and hot tube. Usually it takes just a couple hours, but sometimes it can take days if your using a clunky ISP. If you want the BEST, browse on over to OpenDNS.com. You can just use their DNS, or you can set it up to selectively filter nasty stuff that might try to come to your computer. Either that, or set your DNS to 8.8.8.8, which belongs to Google. We?ve refined the technique since the video was shot. That was the first time we made butter and we were learning as we went. When butter is churned, buttermilk is all mixed up with the butter. You drain off the buttermilk, then paddle the butter in the bowl to force out the buttermilk. Still there is a small amount left in the butter, and if left there, it will go rancid. Washing is most easily accomplished by putting the butter in a big bowl in the sink, running cold water over it, and paddling the butter. You can see clean water turn milky. Keep the water running slowly, keep paddling, and eventually the butter will get cleaner and cleaner. When you grow bored, you?re done. In case anyone is interested, here?s the video: http://youtu.be/jk9MJNSsTpY From fero_ah at city-net.com Thu Jun 20 06:06:54 2013 From: fero_ah at city-net.com (Arnie Fero) Date: Thu, 20 Jun 2013 09:06:54 -0400 (EDT) Subject: [SEL] Short engine video... It would only take a few weeks. And think of the publicity you would get for the hobby! You might even get to Findlay in time for it. You could even hang a political sign on it of some type. Not sure of your politics since you keep your opinion so tightly under wrap. LOL Call it a tractor march on Washington since you would be heading in that direction.
