[SEL] Drag Saw Help Needed

I used to have one of these "man killer" single flywheel saws, but sold it about ten years ago. I kept the the original manual and advertising booklets and it appears that the older models had the clutch built into the gear box and as soon as you lifted the saw assemble out of the cut log it shut the saw off. Unfortunately there are no clear pictures of your friends earlier model but discuses the improvements made on the newer ones like mine was. There was one on display a couple years ago at Baraboo like your friends. Maybe we could ask around in August to see who owns it.

Hi All, 
	I'm trying to help out a fellow that I just met who has an early Ottawa Drag saw. It's a two flywheel saw with a Webster mag. My question (to start) is how does the clutch work on this saw? There is no clutch rod as there is on the later Ottawa saws. BUT it sure seems to me that the saw must have a clutch release of some kind.
