Thank you for the explanation, Mark.
Yes, We do have our own grounds.
The first two years we were on a member's farm then the club got a good deal on some grounds and we have been buying adjoining land since.
The show in August this year will be number 46.
Two years behind Portland.

Hi Alan,
I am glad you have your own grounds to be able to do that.
But this is not our grounds and we have no free to use, developed
grounds available to us. We are piggy backing with an existing flea
market to keep costs down. The only cost to have the swap there is
the per vender $10.00 fee we collect to pay to the Urbana Flea market
to allow us to set up there. Since we have no grounds of our own to
use we had to go this route. Spectators-buyers pay $1.00 admission.
Without going this way we would have to rent grounds and purchase
our own liability insurance. A major expense we can not afford.
This arrangement gives an added benefit of an already existing
spectator - buyer base and other antique markets for the people we
draw to the event to shop, in addition to the swap. Over night
camping is welcome but the fairgrounds may come looking for an
electric fee for hook up if you plug in. No hook up, no
charge. Heated restrooms for overnight campers. And good breakfast
and lunches.
See SmokStak events calendar for more details. Thank You, Mark
