I would think anything under $5k is a reasonable price.

Depends on how bad a person wants the largest version of the JD line of engines that look the same except for size.

The John Deere name and fact that the JD tractor collectors also buy those engines is the only thing that makes them more expensive than other common engines.

Just my 2 cents.

(guess who doesn't have a JD engine in his collection?)
