[SEL] Odd Oiler Can

Thank You to every one for looking and especially to those who replied.

Received a call from Ted S. that has a can made exactly like this 
one. Except His is marked with embossed letters

"PRIMER  Do not fill gas burner when hot.    Pat May 20, 1910"

And his has a disc about the size of a dime soldered to the spout 
about 3/8"  from the end. We speculate to stop fuel from running back 
the stem to the can. Or to provide a stop to not extend past the gas 
burner.

The only thing I can think of off hand that has a gas burner is a 
gasoline blow torch.  I know a torch collector I will shoot this pic off to.

A quick walk through google patents has not revealed any clues
