[SEL] unknown engine

It could be a half-breed. You used to be able to buy conversion kits. Keep the flywheels, crankshaft, bed plate, etc.  attach a new cylinder and piston. Then you convert the steam engine to a gas or diesel. It is the source of a number of weird looking engines.
