I'll answer Ken's question first. The water hopper has straight sides, not
angled with the typical flared lip. And to answer Alan's question I do not
have pictures on the net at this time. I have just gotten a new computer
going and do not have a photo program installed yet. I will get a picture
to you all later. I will tell you that it looks like the average typical
Rock Island engine although it is red. I will have to check closely to
determine if it has every been repainted.

Ken, none of the list I have looked at have a 5 HP RIP engine with this RPM.
Perhaps that is due to mine being throttle governed where as most RIP
engines seem to be Hit and Miss.

Thanks for the input.

Floyd

Do you have a picture or two on-line anywhere?

I am Floyd Boyett and new to this list. I thought I would get a
conversation started so I can meet some of you on line. I have had a 5 HP,
throttle governed engine for many years and have never seen one come up for
sell or found it in an engine book. (Tag No. A61856, 420 RPM) I am sure it
is not rare, it’s just that I have not seen others at shows or pictures in
books or mags. Do you have one or have you seen one? Looking forward to
some input.
