Hi Denis,
Our Club restored a similar dragsaw with a Commando engine for the Bega
Museum several years ago. I think we made new cones from several layers of
heavy leather glued together and turned down on a lathe.
I suggest you look at cones off Lister or Cooper Shearing Machines to see if
they could be modified.

HI All I am currently restoring a Ronaldson and Tippet Drag Saw It has a
R&T two and three quarter HP air cooled NA engine which I now have working.
I'm keen to know if there is a replacement for the leather friction cones.
I am very keen to talk to anyone who has one or has ever used one of these
machines. HELP
