Visit a farm supply store and grab a tractor muffler for something like 
an 8N. Connect it up with a section of flex tubing. If that isn't quiet 
enough take a 5 gallon bucket and stick the exhaust into it, then add 
enough water to cover the pipe 3-4 inches.
