Here is a project I have been working on lately to help beat the winter
doldrums.
I built the display shelves for my diecast metal Tootsie Toy cars from the
1930's. They were given to my by my uncle along with a train display in
the 1950's. I recently dug them out of my attic, found where to buy
replacement rubber tires, wheels, axles, and recast metal bumpers and grills. They
were in fairly bad shape due to being played with at Christmas time by us
4 kids over many years. Some were beyond repair, but I thought the
remaining ones fixed up would make a nice wall attraction.
