   Hi Everybody,
I did it, I survived the worst winter we have had in many years
! In less than 2 hours time Spring officially starts here - You
Northerners can have your winter back (and preferably keep it there
   forever )!!! :-)
Now to brass plates. I've just spent the last 2 days applying
etch masks to all my outstanding orders and will start etching
tomorrow. That means that approximately 50 old engines worldwide will
soon be sporting a brand new replica brass spec. plate made by "yours
   truly" :-)
Thank you all for your support over the last few years - I
derive a lot of pleasure from knowing that my plates adorn engines on
most continents - (I'm not too sure if we have any members in
Antarctica but it would be nice to make a plate for there !!). (Did you
know that a little grey Ferguson made it to the South Pole many years
   ago ?) See:

The etching goes quite fast - it's the preparation and artwork
that take the time. These days I take months to do all the artwork and
only etch a batch of plates when I have enough to make it worthwhile to
set up the whole caboodle. It seems that I only etch about every 4 or 5
months (I've never offered "lightning fast service"). Thanks again to
all you guys (my customers) for being so patient.
O.K. enough rambling - happy "Spring Day" to all the Southern
   Hemisphere members.
   Keep well,
Keep the revs up (or down)
