[SEL] Portland Pictures

Hi Peter

Thanks for checking; Tommy did have a barn fresh 3hp Falk with a broken
crank. I think he did sell that engine before any work was done on it. I
thought this may have been that same engine but I guess not.

It seems that the crank is the weak link on these engines; I best be careful
with mine when I go to start it.

I have seen pictures of two or three of these engines with broken
crankshafts.

Best regards,
Dave

Dave:

We took three shots, and used the one on the website, but they were
all from the same side.

Two things:

One: I don't think Tommy has had his hands on this one, it is not good
enough to have been Tommys work if you know what I mean.

Two: The label on the cylinder head bears the following writing:

"Falk 3hp Engine, sleeved cylinder, re-done valves + seat, re-built
ignitor, new gas tank, comes w/mag and bracket, $9850.00 B.O. or
trades"

Hope that is of some use to you.

Peter
