I use Pex for any re-plumb jobs that come up; but that's water. My concern,
and I haven't looked into this yet, is any oil that the compressor sends
through might eat the Pex up. Also Pex must be protected from the sun or it
will deteriorate.
Pex is cheap - and very easy and fast to install; might be worth a try,
especially if you have a lot of bends or runs that aren't straight.
