The single wheel rim will not fit on the dually axle you will have offset problems. Electric/hydraulic brake system will not work with any controller like straight electric brakes will. I run a BrakeSmart in my truck which is excellent and works with the e/h setup but is not made any more. MaxBrake is a good alternative as is the Tekonsha P3 but the latter is not a true proportional controller.

Hey guys
Got some curiosities concerning gooseneck trailers. I've found a pair
cheap; both need tires, etc. First question; they're tandem dual wheels. I
have a tandem single wheel trailer (both trailers have 8 lugs); will those
single wheels fit the dual wheel hub to get them home? Secondly they are
the old style (pin thru the hitch ball) type; is that tube probably 4"
inside diameter so the new style hitch (for a 2 & 5/16 hitch ball) will
slide in & fit? Thirdly he said one has electric brakes but the other has
some kind of electric/hydraulic system; what will be needed to adapt these
brakes to work (2005 Dodge diesel pull truck).
Thanks!
Lew near Waco, TX
