[SEL] Press Fit Question for the Machinists (OT)

Guys,

I'm reviewing a drawing that is calling for a press fit of a small tapered plug into
a hole.  My gut feel is that the fit is too tight, but I'd really like to get some
feedback from those of you with more practical experience.

The carbon steel block has a hole that is 0.161" (+.003 / -.000) in diameter.

The tapered carbon steel plug is 0.125" long.
The small end diameter is 0.158" (+/-.001).
The big end diameter is 0.165" (+/-.001).

My other thought is that the block that has the hole (and receives the press-fit
plug) is 0.211" thick.  I'm thinking that pressing the plug (as dimensioned) into
the hole might bulge the side walls of the hole outward.

Thoughts / comments / suggestions?
