[SEL] Replacing a belt pulley hub

G'day all;
   The shingle mill projects has run over a year now and can see the light 
at the end of the tunnel.

We did by chance happen to come upon an original(?) belt pulley w/inertia 
wheel...the hub is cracked ~ 75% along the keyway and right through the 
middle of the setscrews.

Has anyone every milled off the bad section of hub and bolted on a new 
machined one?

Never heard of it before but willing to take a stab at it.
