Subject: [SEL] Warning on TOMM website: Conman at work (again)

We have been contacted by a number of readers of the magazine letting us
know that there is a conman at work. Back in 2005, a person by the name of
Rodney Worth was contacting subscribers who were advertising in the magazine
under the wanted section. He would offer the part to the advertiser at a
good price and even offer to freight it to the buyer within a day or two,
also at a good price.
Already, in the last 2 days, one subscriber has lost $800, and another, who
became suspicious, nearly lost $1,500.
The name of the person contacting our readers is a Mr Gorman, who says he
lives in Sydney. He will ask you to deposit or transfer your money to Credit
Union of Australia, CUA. He uses a mobile phone number.
If you have had contact with this person you should contact your local
police station first, and ask them to contact Illawarra detectives in NSW.
Areas that he has targeted so far, are Colac in Vic, and Wauchope, NSW.
