[SEL] New Years crankup ??

I posted a message on the 1st, but it never showed up on SEL, so here it again.

I ran my 4hp (large version) Lorenz for a few minutes on the 1st.  It's the one engine I have where I can walk into the barn and within a few seconds have it running.  Almost always starts on the first pull of the flywheel which is to trip the magneto.

I've got other engines that would also start easy, but they all need batteries and coils hooked up and I don't keep batteries with the engines.  Plus they also would need some fuel as I don't keep gas in their tanks as well.

The old trusty Lorenz is the one I keep gas in just in case I want to run a engine for myself or to show to a visitor.

This is the second oldest Lorenz that I know of in the USA.
I'm sure Arnie could quickly confirm this or not with that Lorenz registry he maintains so well. ;-)

There is a youtube clip I posted 3 years ago of this engine running, just search for "4hp Lorenz".  Can't post the youtube link at the moment, since I'm at work and youtube is one of the many sites they block access to from work.  Wonder why?  ;-)
