You might want to put the police into the loop and have them watch the box.  You could do your part by mailing a letter to that address with your name promininetly displayed.

When the slimeball picks up the letter, he can be taken into custody to try to rpove that he wasn't in on a swindle.

OR, if you're not one of the folks who think the police can do no wrong, just hire a couple of your handy neighborhood thugs to give the slimeball an "attitude adjustment".
