When it's working right Mike, the shingles are tapered. The upper and lower sprockets have catches, short spaced and long spaced. When one advances short the other advances long..then visa versa.

Rick, GREAT looking saw!! Do the shingles have a tapered thickness or
are they uniform thickness?
